Conduct Expectations:
Freedom of Choice, Not Freedom of Consequences
- Obey the Indian Prairie School District Athletic and Activity Code of conduct.
- Code is in effect for the remainder of high school career, including summer months.
- Eligibility is checked on Friday and affects the following Monday through Sunday contests.
Note: Transfer students must have a “Principal’s Concurrence” form on file in the athletic office. (IHSA rule) - No participation during school suspensions or detentions.
Note: school suspension may result in being removed from the team per the coach - No criminal action.
- No use, possession, or presence in the vicinity of drugs and/or alcohol, including paraphernalia.
- No use or possession of any type of tobacco.
- No hazing/harassment/bullying.
- Must attend school in order to practice or perform on that given day.
- Respect teammates and coaches! These behaviors will not be tolerated and may result in your removal from the TEAM!
- Derogatory references to anyone’s race or ethnic background.
- Hazing/initiation of anyone.
- Affiliation with a gang in any manner.
- Stealing or “borrowing” of someone else’s property without permission.
- Fighting.
- Disrespect of a teammate or coach in any manner.
- Attendance is mandatory! A player may be removed from the TEAM at anytime for non-attendance.
- Players must practice for 12 days prior to competing. (IHSA rule)
- Players must participate in at least 3 practices in order to dress in that week’s game.
- Players are to be on time for meetings, practices, games, and buses. Tardiness will not be tolerated and the entire TEAM will be affected.
- If a player is injured, he must be under the supervision of the AT and head coach.
- If a player is ill, he must be under doctor care with a written note to the AT and head coach.
- Consequences for being absent include running, playing time, and depth chart position.
- Display good sportsmanship!
- Trash talking, showboating, profanity and taunting are unacceptable.
- Always address the officials with respect, addressing them with “Yes Sir” and “No Sir“.
- Equipment and facility use.
- Players are responsible for the equipment issued to them. It is to be secured at all times.
- If a player fails to return equipment, he will pay for its replacement.
